Gildacroft were chosen as the main contractor to convert the Greenhill Centre in Manor Park to a new health and fitness centre for the local community. The contract involved complete new fit out of approximately 950m2 of floor space, including alterations of block walls and partitions, new flooring throughout, decorations throughout, new changing rooms and shower facilities, and a new external gym area.

The contract also included complete design and installation of the new mechanical and electrical installation. As the area of the building had been disused for several years, the M&E design involved thorough investigation of the state of existing services and careful planning to provide a new layout that met with the demands of the new gym and kept within the client’s budget. The installation also had to be co-ordinated so as not to affect the other occupants of the building.
